There’s always something new happening at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center. The Back Lot: Rave & Rock Circus brings an alternative edge to the wide variety that the 2024-2025 ‘Edge of Your Seat’ season offers at SBDAC. The debut of the first Back Lot concert series happened in October 2024 with raving reviews, a wild rock concert, and success in attendance. This diverse show is sure to entertain! The next event will be held on December 20, 2024 from 7:00 P.M. -11:00 P.M. The featured bands will be Teahouse (Progressive Alternative Rock), Psychofluid (SWFL Progressive Doom Sludge), Ichenen (Alternative Rock), and Alexa Murphy (Shadowy R&B Soul). Disc Jockey appearances will be by Dethkitty (Hyperpop EDM Rave Music) and DJ Aye Eye (80th Goth Dance Trip). 

Artist vendors include Artsemble Underground, Annabelle Grace, Z Endeavorz, and Spiritual Sunflower. Food will be available for purchase by Dubz, a local food vendor offering fresh chicken or steak sliders and veggies with hummus. Featured non-alcoholic beverages are offered by The Sound Garden Kava Bar. Before the live concerts begin at 8:00 P.M., the crowd can view live art demonstrations, purchase cocktails from Sidney’s Rooftop mobile beverage stand (21+), and watch the skillful and dangerous acts provided by the Inflowencers, SWFL’s premier flow arts group. Several shows go on throughout the night by the flow artists. Upon entering what usually is the back parking lot, you’ll see performers doing acrobatics while suspended by aerial silks from the catwalk, fire dancers spinning flames around themselves, stilt walkers hula hooping with glowing LED hoops and more! This is an event for patrons looking for entertainment on the edge.
